Landecker Fellow Iason Apostolopoulos on board of the Geo Barents ship that rescues over 300 people

Landecker Fellow Iason is the Search and Rescue Team Leader on the Geo Barents rescue ship. He and the Geo Barents team have recently returned from the Central Mediterranean Sea, where they rescued 322 people, out of whom were 85 unaccompanied children. According to Geo Barents’ records, the youngest survivor onboard was only a two-week old baby.
