Westminster Foundation for Democracy in partnership with Humanity in Action BiH is organizing a four-day “Youth Policy Camp” for 25 young people from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim to provide young people with knowledge and skills to better understand the processes taking place within the BiH political system, with a special focus on voting in elections as one of the foundations of democratic societies.

Project Background

Project Objectives

The main objective of the youth camp is to provide a group of selected youth (first-time voters and/or youth of 18-25 age range) with requisite knowledge and understanding of election process and procedures, through a comprehensive education program on political literacy and political/civic activism.

By gathering young people from all corners of Bosnia and Herzegovina and from diverse local areas, the YPC will contribute to the establishment of ties between youth across entity and ethnicity divides, equipping them with knowledge and skills conducive to their fuller participation in future socio-political processes in their local communities and the country.

Project Activities

The camp will be held in from July 18-21, 2022 at the Monti Hotel in Igman. Through a series of interactive workshops, the Youth Policy Camp will provide young people with knowledge and skills to better understand the processes taking place within the BiH political system, with a special focus on voting in elections as one of the foundations of democratic societies. The goal of the camp is to increase the participation of young people in social and political processes within their local communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
