Francis Seeck is a 2010 Fellow of the Polish program. Francis is a PhD candidate in the field of Queer Ethnography/ Anthropology. Their ethnographic research focuses on collective self-care and community care practices within genderqueer and transgender activism in Europe. Francis is also a anti-discrimination trainer, queer activist and Spoken Word artist. They finished the Lantos-HIA Fellowship working for the Latina democratic Congresswoman Grace Napolitano who is representing a majority-minority district in East Los Angeles and working on migration politics and energy / enviromental concerns. Francis also participated in a 14 month fellowship program (weltwaerts) working as a full-time volunteer with Centro de Derechos Sociales del Migrante (Cenderos) en San José, Costa Rica. CENDEROS is a non-governmental organization that is organized by feminist and imigrants from Nicaragua.
