Sarah was a fellow with HIA Denmark in 2007. She graduated from Wheaton College in 2009 with a degree in international relations and a certificate in Human Needs and Global Resources following 6 months of work on land rights in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. After college, Sarah worked with the Abundant Table Farm Project on an organic farm in CA, before moving to Brooklyn, NY where she served as a benefits counselor and VITA tax preparer. Sarah was an Emerson National Hunger Fellow from 2011 to 2012, working in Phoenix, AZ and Washington DC. She currently works as a health policy analyst at Families USA, a progressive advocacy group focused on health care for low-income Americans.
