Bio:

Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Nikita is a recent graduate of the Dual BA Program between Columbia University and Sciences Po. At the Euro-American campus of Sciences Po Paris in Reims, France, she received a BA in the social sciences, with specializations in law and political science. At Columbia, she completed a degree in human rights with a specialization in sustainable development. Nikita is particularly passionate about environmental and climate justice and the ways in which human rights intersect with the environment. While at Columbia, Nikita worked at the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law, served as a teaching assistant for the sustainable development department, organized with Columbia Divest for Climate Justice, and interned at the Responsible Endowments Coalition. After graduation, Nikita moved to Port Vila, Vanuatu as a Fulbright research grantee to examine the human rights-based approaches climate change in Vanuatu. In the long term, Nikita hopes to meaningfully work on racial, economic, and environmental justice through either the law or research.
