Saim grew up in Pakistan, and went to high school in India. He graduated from Bard College, New York in 2013 where he was active in Model UN, debate, and journalism. After graduation, Saim won a David Projects for Peace grant, allowing him create a short course in Istanbul for teens from Europe and the Middle East; the program focused on dialogue, conflict and leadership training. Saim works as a Sub-Editor at The Express Tribune, an English language newspaper based in Karachi, Pakistan. He is also an editorial intern at The American Interest, a foreign affairs magazine based in Washington, DC. He worked as a reporter and editor in Pakistan, India, Hungary and the United States. His work was published in the International New York Times, Haaretz, Al Jazeera America, Quartz, The Diplomat, World Policy Journal, Kafila, Dhaka Tribune and DNAIndia.
