Rachel Anderson is a rising junior Robertson Scholar at Duke University with a double major in Economics and Computer Science. She is also pursuing a minor in Arabic. She studied Arabic in Morocco as part of the National Security Language Initiative for Youth. (Summer ‘12) Recently, she prepared, facilitated and documented two National Endowment for the Humanities workshops for teachers to promote the history and culture of the Mississippi Delta at the Delta Center for Culture and Learning in Cleveland, Mississippi. (Summer ‘13). She also designed the interface for a crowd sourcing technology for African American communities in Asheville that were displaced by urban renewal policies in the 1970s. Rachel has an extensive communications background that includes serving as Editor-in-Chief of two award winning publications at Dreyfoos School of the Arts and ongoing graphic design projects, including head of design for TEDxDuke.
