Tiffany Vang recently graduated from the College of Saint Benedict in Saint Joseph, Minnesota where she was a Peace Studies major. Tiffany has developed a strong feeling of conviction and urgency when it came to injustice towards marginalized populations. She has worked with livelihood programs for women in the tribal areas of India. She also has experience writing in local outlets about racism and youth unemployment in the U.S. She is currently working at Summit Academy OIC in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she tracks progress and compliance in hiring goals for women and minorities in construction trades. She is also working on a pilot project, the Workforce Investment Network, to change the 'work first' welfare model in North Minneapolis to one where low income residents can have careers and advance. In her spare time, Tiffany contributes to the MN Women's Press and is a columnist at Twin Cities Daily Planet, where she writes on issues of equity in Minnesota.
