Clara is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor at Columbia Law School. She is an active member of the American Constitution Society, Columbia's High School Law Institute, and First Generation Professionals. She competed with Columbia Native American Law Moot Court team in 2017. In the summer of 2017, Clara interned with the New York State Attorney General's Office, in the Civil Rights' Bureau. Before law school, Clara served as an Americorps VISTA Member with the Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights in Chicago, IL. A 2014 graduate of Wheaton College (IL), she has since been a part of alumni efforts to reform the college and increase diversity and inclusion among its faculty and students. While at Wheaton she studied Cultural Anthropology and Development. Her interests focus on race & ethnicity, social class, and economic justice globally and in the US. Clara has spent time abroad in Nicaragua, Indonesia, Poland, and Jordan.
