Tehreem Rehman

Tehreem Rehman will graduate from Columbia in 2013 as a John Jay Scholar and with a degree in Women's & Gender Studies. She is also a Gates Millennium Scholars and will be attending Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons this fall. She recently finished her term as the National Chair of the American Medical Student Association’s Race, Ethnicity, and Culture in Health committee and is now serving as a National Editorial Advisor for the New Physician Magazine. As a Co-Founder of Columbia’s Public Service Initiative, Tehreem was selected to be a People for the American Way Foundation’s Young People For (YP4) Fellow for the 2012-2013 academic year in order to expand the program. She is interested in health policy, reproductive rights, and the effects of socioeconomic determinants of health on pervasive and persistent inequities.
