I am a passionate London-based anthropologist and yoga teacher. I was born in South Korea, grew up in a small village in Denmark (300 people!) and I have been studying and working in diverse settings such as Damascus, Manchester, San Francisco and most recently London. I have had the privilige of collaborating with various youth and community groups, and working for fantastic organizations such as 'Legal Services for Prisoners with Children', 'the Danish Red Cross Youth' and 'Rehabilitation and Research Center for Torture Victims'. In April 2014 I founded Sung Yoga, a social enterprise that brings yoga to diverse communities. Our last project took place in Istanbul, and included yoga therapy sessions for Syrian refugee children; to help heal trauma and reintroduce play in their everyday lives. I received my MA in Social Anthropology of Development from SOAS, University of London, with a dissertation titled: 'It is just amazing how the revolution has brought us together - Transnational Mobilization, Identity and Belonging among Young Syrian Women in London'
