In pursuit of becoming a better public advocate, Nadia Farjood is a student at Harvard Law School. She was most recently the Senior Manager for Strategic Initiatives at Political Parity, a nonpartisan nonprofit educating and engaging actors and allies to increase women’s political representation in the United States. In this role, she coordinated national projects to educate, energize, and equip minority women to pursue positions in politics, policy, and public service. A champion for a reflective and effective democracy, Nadia passionately believes that a more reflective government is more effective government. Nadia graduated with a Government major and Neurobiology minor from Harvard College, where she actively advanced women’s leadership through a variety of avenues, from helping create a course on Women in U.S. Politics to co-directing Athena, a gender empowerment program for low-income high school students in Boston. Inspired by women’s campaigns in 2012, Nadia wrote her senior thesis on women’s pathways to the U.S. Senate. She has worked at the White House and on Elizabeth Warren’s Senate campaign. Nadia proudly served on the American Planning Board of Humanity in Action; and currently serves on the Advisory Councils of Running Start and Legal Momentum; and as an ambassador of VoteRunLead. She is a freshman proctor at Harvard College, where she supports 32 students in navigating social, academic and personal transformation in college.
