Youth Voices Lead
As a Landecker Democracy Fellow, Marissa is developing Youth Voices Lead (YVL), a paid, digital community and training program for 12+ youth organizers to strengthen their artistic tools and human rights knowledge to advocate for racial justice change. For around 10 weeks, these young leaders (ages 14-18) from across New York City will learn about the important issues directly impacting their communities and use artivism to inform others.

Landecker Democracy Fellow Elisabeth Becker Topkara’s project, Inscribing Plurality, unites young Jews and Muslims (age 18-25) who live in Berlin and are interested in a career in journalism/writing to pen both their future and the future of our society together.

Landecker Democracy Fellow Florin recognized the need for resources to empower citizens to create actionable change in Romania. This is how the project Civistarter began — a series of events where representatives of the youth could learn how to be more civically involved.

EDVACAY Alumni Podcast Project
This initiative is focused on showcasing the work and successes of five participants from the previous nine generations of the EDVACAY program through a trending format of video podcast. Through five episodes of podcasts, EDVACAY Alumni Daniel Lazarević (2014/15) and Mahir Sijamija (2013/14) want to show to the wider audience how some of the participants benefited from this program, how they used it in their formal and non-formal education, and how they led by their example and encouraged others to be socially responsible and active in their local community.

Flowering Marathon
This eco-friendly community-building project initiative gathers a group of children from Brčko, for a ‘Flowering Marathon’, during which large amounts of flower seeds will be dispersed around the Brčko city area by the participants, especially focusing on areas that seem neglected.

De-Isolation Hackathon
Armed with last year's knowledge they acquired on the negative effects of social isolation on members of marginalized social groups, the team behind the 2020 EDVACAY “Just Another Day” campaign decided to now have a broader social group as a target group of their project - not only the people who do not fit into the imposed societal norms of ‘normalcy’ because of their diagnosis or lifestyle, but also all those who experienced the feeling of isolation, loneliness, and insufficient support as a result of the pandemic.

ARTIVISM - on the use of Art as a social transformation tool
Inspired by the collective actions of Youth Peace Ambassadors Network, Maciej Rotowski of the 2019 Warsaw Fellowship organized a 5 day-long training on artivism in Spain. Together with YPAN he brought together artists and activists and equipped them with necessary tools to advance peace and human rights.
