Practical Information

Dress Code

Conference Venue, Opening Reception and Site Visits

The dress code for the conference is primarily business casual. Ties and jackets are not required. Participants should not wear shorts, flip-flops or tank tops. All participants should wear comfortable walking shoes, especially during the site visits.

Currency Exchange

The euro is the official currency used in Athens. The easiest place to exchange dollars to euros is at the airport. ATMs, which are widely accessible throughout the city and are present at most metro stations, provide a better rate of exchange than a currency-exchange office. The National Bank of Greece, Alpha Bank, and Pireos Bank, located off Syntagma Square in Athens, have automated machines that exchange your foreign currency into euros.
