Additional Excursion

Two decades after the genocide, wildlife and tourism are central to Rwanda's future sources of income. During the genocide and the war a lot of wildlife was extinguished, just as fields and villages were destroyed. As Rwanda fights to develop its nature reserves and to attract international tourists, HIA offers you a chance to visit an extraordinary nature reserve – The Akaghera.

The wildlife option will take place as a direct extension of the study tour. This program includes a full day visit to the Savanna, a boat trip on the Lake, all exotic culinary meals, luxury tent accommodation as well as all transportation.

The price which includes all transportation, two nights luxury tent accommodation, all meals (excluding drinks) and entry to the nature reserve is 3000 kroner or 400 Euros.

As it requires another return flight – please specify on registration if you want to extend the study tour with this wildlife experience.

This additional option of an African wildlife experience is not part of the study tour – but we will not bring you to Rwanda without offering a visit to the most extraordinary nature reserve.
