The Humanity in Action International Conference is the annual gathering of more than 250 young and established leaders committed to promoting human rights, diversity and active citizenship in their own communities and around the world.

The 2013 International Conference took place in Warsaw, Poland from the evening of Thursday, June 27 through the evening of Saturday, June 29. Additionally, there was an optional day of site visits on Sunday, June 30.

The conference featured keynotes, workshops and discussions led by experts and activists who brought both Polish and international perspectives to the theme of transitions in a modern world. This year's program focused in particular on transformations within Poland, especially its society, political institutions and economy through an exploration of its history — and the relationship of that history to contemporary Poland. The conference also examined transitions around the world, exploring mass protest movements, revolutionary upheavals and the power of new media and technology to impact future civic activists and leaders.

Site visits for the 2013 International Conference included neighborhood tours within Warsaw that explored past and present Poland, as well as an optional visit to the Treblinka memorial site.
