The VoteEuropa Project

When: February 1, 2019 to end of May 2019

Where: Europe

Who's eligible: Humanity in Action Senior Fellows residing in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland or Spain.

The Migration Policy Group (MPG, Brussels) and Humanity in Action are offering paid professional opportunities to nine Democracy Fellows in nine EU Member States (Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain) for four months. The Democracy Fellows in the nine EU member states will work with Senior Fellows and other volunteers to increase voter turnout for the elections to the European Parliament in May 2019. The position will be part-time (80%) over the course of four months.

Democracy Fellows will employ the Migration Policy Group's (MPG) well-tested mobiliser approach to get first-time voters to register and vote in the European elections in their country of residence or citizenship. The five targeted groups of first-time voters are young people, mobile EU citizens, newly naturalized national citizens, national citizens abroad and the active volunteers and voluntary organizations that can reach all four groups. The Fellowship will start with a one-week training in Brussels in early February 2019.

Interested volunteers should sign up to MPG’s Democracy Listserv.
