Tamar Guttmann is an entrepreneur and producer based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She is the initiator and showrunner of the podcast A World From Scratch, in which every episode, she invites a speaker to imagine the system of his/her field from scratch, ending each conversation with a concrete set of actions listeners can undertake tomorrow to help build that system. This ranges from Business, to Racial Equality, to Fashion, to Climate Mitigation, to Happiness From Scratch. Sharing ideas and expertise, inspiring and calling to action for systemic and behavioral change. Tamar is passionate about bridging the arts and impact and has produced several films that all touched upon social issues, the last of which was Thin Ice, a short film addressing the increasing fear of terrorism in the Netherlands, which won numerous awards across the globe and was viewed over 350.000 times. In 2020, she initiated and became the director of New Amsterdam Jazz, a festival bridging toptalent of the Dutch and New York jazz-scenes. Tamar also serves as the Netherlands Director for NEXUS, a global network connecting social entrepreneurs and changemakers to next-gen philanthropists and impact investors. She serves in the Board of the HRH Princess Irene Foundation – Bergplaas, and is an Advisory Board member of Proof of Impact. Tamar graduated (summa cum laude) from New York University, with a degree in Entertainment Producing (Tisch School of the Arts) and Social Entrepreneurship (Stern School of Business). She has a deep love for music and can be found in a jazz club on any free night.
