Symone Purcell spent her childhood among the rolling hills of London, Kentucky. She is a Junior at Eastern Kentucky University majoring in Biology with a Pre-Medicine focus. An avid member of the EKU Student Government Association, she co-chairs the Cultural Art and Education Committee of the Student Activities Council Branch, providing educational programs for the student body. She is also a devoted student mentor, providing guidance and support to freshman students as well as high school students interested in possible careers in the health field. When she is not working with students as a mentor, she serves as an Honors Ambassador for the EKU Honors Program. She can also be found reading books about faraway worlds, drawing people, or practicing the piano. After EKU, Purcell hopes to become a medical student.
