Oleksandra is a Senior Research and Teaching Assistant at the College of Europe in Bruges. She earned a Master’s degree in law at Jagiellonian University (Poland) and an MA in European Interdisciplinary Studies at the College of Europe, where she developed a research project on statelessness and received a “Best Thesis” award from United Nations University Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies (UNU-CRIS), which allowed complete a research fellowship in Bruges. Apart from the analyst position at IBM, her prior work experience included internships at the Human Rights Department at the Legal Clinic of the Jagiellonian University and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland; and traineeships at the Department of Legal and Institutional Affairs of the University of Montpellier III and at the European Commission. Oleksandra was involved as co-founder and coordinator of the International Network on Legal Assistance to Refugees. As a Pat Cox-HIA Fellow Oleksandra worked at the International Partnership for Human Rights. Her academic and professional interests include international law, migration and human rights protection.
