Mir Ali Hosseini holds an MA in Philosophy from KU Leuven and an MA in English Literatures and Literary Theory from the University of Freiburg, where he is currently working on his doctoral thesis on the essay form and mid-twentieth-century political cultures with a scholarship from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation. He is interested in exploring and promoting the public role of the humanities—despite and against their increasing professionalization and specialization—in addressing economic and social inequities of the neoliberal order.
