Megan Raymond is a second-year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh in 2017, where she majored in Urban Studies with minors in Chemistry and Social Work. She was a Fellow with the inaugural Detroit Fellowship in 2017 where she further explored her interests in urban planning and public health. Research is one of Megan’s major interests, and this past summer she conducted qualitative policy research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, studying the intersection of genomic and precision medicine and health disparities. She is also currently involved with the Jewish Healthcare Foundation as a Jonas Salk Health Activist Fellow. She has a particular interest in innovative methods of healthcare delivery, and believes that equity should be a measure of quality improvement.
