Louise is a project assistant for Humanity in Action. She has recently finished her Masters in International Relations specialized in Conflict and Security at the Brussels School of International Studies and previously obtained her Bachelors in International Relations, Anthropology and Sociology at Curtin University. While she was born in France, she has spent the last fifteen years living and studying in Saudi Arabia, Australia and Belgium. During her studies, Louise has specialized in armed conflicts and the foreign policies of Middle Eastern states, particularly surrounding the Yemeni Civil War. Passionate about human rights and social justice in the region, she also works as a content writer for a Slovakian non-profit organization, Center for Analysis, Monitoring and Reporting. She has recently completed her Master’s dissertation on Turkey’s instrumentalization of its trans-boundary rivers in its policy towards the Kurds.
