Lisa Trebs is a graduate from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), UK with a MA in Development Studies. She holds a BA in International Studies and Cultural Encounters from Roskilde University, Denmark. Lisa specialized in conflict and gender issues and has had the chance to conduct fieldwork in China, Nigeria and Namibia. Most recently, Lisa worked as an intern at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) supporting multi-stakeholder partnerships for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Previously, she worked as a Research Assistant at IDS, investigating the role of China in international development, South-South cooperation, and urbanization processes. She gained professional experience at the NGO Reach Out, the Critical Edge Alliance, and the Goethe Institute. Lisa is the co-founder of the global student magazine Critical Edges and supported different NGOs as a volunteer, including Global Justice Now, the United Nations’ Youth Association Denmark, and 180 Degrees Consulting.
