Jelle Zijlstra (1988), is a Dutch-Jewish theatre director and teacher. Besides his theatre work, Jelle works for the Reform Jewish community in Amsterdam facilitating dialogue with young adults about antisemitism & judaism.
He also works for Stichting Na De Oorlog, a platform creating education about the Shoah (Holocaust) for Dutch schools. Besides these activities Jelle is also an activist in both the climate and the anti-racism movement.
His Jewish & Queer identity is deeply connected to his activism. He sees it as a historical and moral obligation to actively work towards creating a sustainable and dignified future for all of mankind.
