Ida Paraskeva

Ida Paraskeva is a Greek political science scholar and environmental activist. She also has a background in theatre and interactive performance, where she became certified in drama therapy and meditation healing techniques. During her academic years as a psychology student in Athens, Greece, she became experienced in preparing action plans, coordinating teams, and evaluating projects aiming to increase public awareness around human rights and environmental protection. Ida was one of the co-founders of Extinction Rebellion Hellas, the Greek branch of the global activist green movement, and one of the main mediators in its extension into the Balkan region. She has also worked with asylum-seekers and isolated communities (homeless, sex workers, refugees) in several NGOS and projects with the objectives of battling social injustice and promoting human rights. She is currently situated in Brussels, Belgium where she is completing her MA in Political Science and International Relations.
