Hajer Hadi, born to Iraqi parents at the border of Iraq and Kuwait at the precipice of the Gulf war, is a graduate student from the University of Copenhagen with an MSc in Global Health, where she also has completed her BSc. in Health informatics. She is currently working as an intern at UNFPA Lebanon, supporting an ongoing interagency collaborative project with UNFPA, UNODC, and UNESCO to promote youth led initiatives in response to the explosion in 2020. Hajer has a wide range of research interests and experiences, including global health, SRHRs, gender-based violence, cancer, epidemiology, and societal injustice. She is a passionate supporter and activist in human rights and humanitarian action and has worked within the educational field of racial inequality and diaspora. Hajer has also co-organized a workshop on decolonization of global health at her university. Her interest in international issues is a reflection of her diverse background.
