Henriette Rytz

Dr. Henriette Rytz is EU policy advisor to the Green Parliamentary Group in the German Bundestag and director of its Brussels office. Previously, she worked as a foreign policy advisor to Cem Özdemir, a member of the German Bundestag, and as a researcher at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), a Berlin-based foreign policy think tank. Henriette deeply values transatlantic exchange, which is why her work experience also includes stints at the U.S. House of Representatives (as a 2006 Humanity in Action Lantos Fellow), the American Institute of Contemporary German Studies, and Yale University. She has published widely on questions of international relations (including a book “Ethnic Interest Groups in US Foreign-Policy Making: A Cuban-American Story of Success and Failure,” New York: Palgrave Macmillan 2013). Henriette holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and an M.A. in International Relations from the Free University Berlin. She is the vice chair of the board of Humanity in Action Germany and participated in the Fellowship program in Berlin in 2005.
