Dr. Damir Marjanović

Damir Marjanović, PhD, is the Rector of International Burch University in Sarajevo, where he also teaches at the Department of Genetics and Bioengineering. He was an advisor at the Institute for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology in Sarajevo, and he is an associate at the Institute of Anthropology in Zagreb, Croatia. In 2012 and 2013, he was Minister of Education and Science in the Sarajevo Canton. He has also worked as an expert in the field of forensic genetics for the OSCE in Kosovo, the European Agency for Reconstruction in Serbia, International Commission for Missing Persons in BiH, and the Ruđer Bošković Institute and Genos in Croatia. His main area of interest is forensic, population, and molecular genetics, and molecular anthropology. He is the author of many books and scientific papers, and has been invited to give lectures at over 40 different international scientific assemblies across the world.
