Chryssa was born and raised in Athens, Greece, where she now lives. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Law in the University of Athens and in 2017 she spent a semester in Finland, where she studied at the University of Helsinki. Having a keen interest in human rights and refugee law, she has volunteered in the Khora Community Center, a humanitarian co-operative foundation based in Athens, focusing on providing services to refugees. Later on, she worked as an intern in the Legal Unit of the Greek Council for Refugees NGO. She is now coordinating the Network for Refugees and Migrants of Amnesty International GR and is also involved in the European Network Against Racism as a media monitor and in the Racist Violence Recording Network.
