Ashley Tan hails from sunny Singapore, and is currently pursuing a dual degree between Columbia University and the Paris Institute of Political Studies. An advocate for gender parity and racial justice, Ashley is currently a member of Young Feminist Europe and serves as Youth Ambassador at OnePeople.sg, a ground up advocacy body for inter-racial and inter-religious understanding in Singapore. She has also served as a judge for The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition and is currently the Creator and Managing Editor of Policy 360, a foreign policy round table under Columbia Political Review. She is most drawn to stories pertaining to international affairs and social justice, with her written work being featured in publications including The Diplomat, Southeast Asia Globe, UNICEF and MTV. As a lover of music, Ashley has also previously worked to raise funds for underprivileged children seeking educational opportunities with charities such as World Vision.
