Alex Hackford runs the A&R department at Sony Computer Entertainment America/ Playstation. In this role, he finds new talent to record original songs for SCEA title games, as well as sequencing and selection of licensed tracks. Prior to working at SCEA, Alex was an artist manager at Sanctuary Artist Management, where he managed up and coming acts EARLY MAN and SUPAGROUP, as well as handling day to day duties for SLIPKNOT and GUNS N’ ROSES. Prior to Sanctuary Artist Management, Alex was an A&R Manager at Columbia Records, working with such artists as John Legend and Cypress Hill. Alex graduated with a BA double major in English and Philosophy from New York University. He is a Humanity in Action Senior Fellow and participated in the 1999 Copenhagen Fellowship Program.
