Costs

For Greek participants, Humanity in Action covers:

  • the travel costs to and from the program city;
  • the costs of participation and accommodation during the Fellowship programs;
  • the costs of many meals and public transport during programming times of the Fellowships;
  • additional support if needed.

However, Fellows should plan to bring spending money for additional food and social activities during the Fellowship programs.

European Fellowships: The net cost share that Fellows should expect to contribute for all remaining meals that are not provided by Humanity in Action as well as for social activities depends on the programming city. Humanity in Action advises Fellows to bring an estimate of EUR 450,- to Amsterdam, Berlin and Warsaw and EUR 550 to Copenhagen.

The John Lewis Fellowship: Fellows should plan to bring spending money for food and social activities during the Fellowship program in Atlanta. Fellows should expect to contribute an estimate of EUR 700,- for all remaining meals that are not provided by Humanity in Action as well as for social activities.

The Detroit Fellowship: Fellows should plan to bring spending money for food and social activities during the Fellowship program in Detroit. Fellows should expect to contribute an estimate of EUR 400,- for all remaining meals that are not provided by Humanity in Action as well as for social activities.

Important: Humanity in Action encourages applicants who do not see themselves in a position to cover these extra costs to apply for the program nonetheless. Additional support will be provided to individuals facing financial hardship with documented need.
