Article

On March 17, 2022, Landecker Fellow Jelle Zijlstra will join the “Election Results: What Next?” event.

This live discussion will explore how current political developments and election results affect policy on racism, discrimination and equality in the city of Amsterdam. The event is part of this year’s Festival Together against Racism.

Jelle will also discuss his Landecker Project: the Jewish Manifesto. Through the discussion with various grassroots organizers, the event will reveal how we can jointly ensure that racism and inequality remain high on the political agenda in Amsterdam and the Netherlands.

Jelle is one of thirty 2021-2022 Landecker Democracy Fellows. This fellowship, a collaboration between the Alfred Landecker Foundation and Humanity in Action, was created to strengthen a new generation of leaders whose approaches to political and social challenges can become catalysts for democratic placemaking and community building.
