Burning out for the good cause: An article by Landecker Fellow Nushin Yazdani

Details

Article

Landecker Fellow Nushin Yazdani recently wrote an article titled “Für die gute Sache ausgebrannt” for the Gunda Werner Institute for Feminism and Gender Democracy website. The piece discusses the toxic work culture that manifests itself within the corporate sphere. In it, she unfolds the marginalized structures and the perfectionism that rule in both profit-oriented and non-profit companies.

“The task of pointing out and changing these structures is often placed on those affected, rather than being seen as a collective task that should be the bedrock of all work,” Nushin explains.

Assembling a range of statements from various experts, the article brings further awareness on what a respectful and considerate workplace should represent.
