In April 2021, Farah Abdi was appointed a 2021 Digital Europe Fellow. Fellowship Digital Europe is a program by the Alfred Herrhausen Society and the Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe, through which educational makers are supported in conveying democratic values in the digital space.

Throughout the Fellowship, four scholarship holders had developed new workshop formats and put them into practice. “These educational offers were aimed at pupils from the age of 13 with the goal of enabling them to participate democratically in the digital space,” the official program description announced.

This fellowship, a collaboration between the Alfred Landecker Foundation and Humanity in Action, was created to strengthen a new generation of leaders whose approaches to political and social challenges can become catalysts for democratic placemaking and community building.
