Article

On the 25th of January, The Institute for Global Sustainable Development at the University of Sheffield is hosting a panel event on the spatiotemporal politics of displacement. The online conversation will feature multiple scholars including Senior Fellow Karam Yahya.

Reflecting on the panellists’ research of displacement, the event will examine temporal themes, including “waiting and uncertainty, alongside spatial themes, such as border crossings and humanitarian spaces.”

Moreover, the conversation will also focus on the changing context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the unique temporalities and spatialities of conducting fieldwork with displaced communities.

The panel will began at 17:00 GMT and be moderated by Melissa Gatter, Postdoctoral Research Associate on the UKRI GCRF project PPE & Refugees at the IGSD.

You can find more information and register for the event on this eventbrite page.
