While Article 1 of the Dutch Constitution states that discrimination based on religion, belief, political affiliation, race, gender or any other ground is not allowed, discrimination is still very common in the Netherlands. As part of the 2021 ‘Week against Racism’ in Amsterdam, Humanity in Action The Netherlands and the Regional Center for Discrimination Amsterdam organize a workshop on the practice to address everyday racism. hoewel deze helaas vol zit, is het nog wel mogelijk je aan te melden voor de wachtlijst!

Workshop: how to recognize & address everyday racism?
During this interactive workshop we will elaborate on real life events of everyday racism in the Netherlands registered by the Regional Center for Discrimination Amsterdam. Participants will not only discuss the obstacles of everyday racism but also find answers to the problem of everyday racism; to whom can you turn to when you are the victim of discrimination and exclusion? What can you do when you, as a bystander, notice that someone is being discriminated against. Which authorities can you contact to submit a report?
