A Road from Dayton to Brussels: Reflecting on Lessons Learned and Lessons Missed

When leaders of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Croatia gathered in the U.S. city of Dayton, Ohio, in November 1995, the war in Bosnia had been raging for almost four years. The peace agreement they reached, known as the Dayton Peace Accords, has successfully targeted its primary objective, which was to bring an end to the war, an end to the violence, an end to the suffering. However, after 25 years of ceasefire and countless attempts of structuring a long-lasting peace in BiH, there are many questions about whether the DPA was successful in generating a solid foundation upon which the people of Bosnia-Herzegovina could build a stable future. Join us on December 14, 2020 from 5 PM (CET) via Zoom.
