Evidence supporting transmission of coronavirus 2 while presymptomatic or asymptomatic

Details

Article

Senior Fellow Nathan Furukawa published an article concerning the transmission of coronavirus while pre or asymptomatic. His article “Evidence Supporting Transmission of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 While Presymptomatic or Asymptomatic” was published in the Emerging Infectious Diseases journal, an peer reviewed, open access journal by the Center for Disease Control, or the CDC. This literature review tracked relevant articles from January 1st to April 2nd, 2020 with the goal of reviewing the available research on pre and asymptomatic transmission of COVID-19. The general consensus was that transmission is possible even without visible symptoms, a development that should be taken into account in CDC guidelines. Read the report here.
