The article mainly focuses on the individualized tutoring, which can provide the needed support for students during these challenging times. Allister writes “It’s not just about learning how to read or learning how to solve algebraic equations. It’s also about having more time with another caring adult.” Such support can also help address mental health and socioemotional challenges, as well as guide students through the time of “exceptional isolation.”
