Humanity in Action Senior Fellow Francis Seeck and performer Verena Brakonier were interviewed by “Die ZeitOnline”. In the interview, they discussed classism in the art scene and how stereotypes and habits are reproduced by a lack of diversity within the artists, choreography, and audience. Additionally, Francis and Verena talked about the importance of not hiding one’s origin when expressing oneself.

The interview also noted that many individuals from low-income backgrounds often feel they have to do more than others in order to succeed, and they often don’t have the time or the access to different cultural scenes.
