Senior Fellow and Humanity in Action Board Member Dr. Carolin Wiedemann has written and published the article “When Islands Turn into Prisons” in Analyse & Kritik. She writes of the poor conditions of the Lesbos refugee camp Moria 2, and how this is just one of many examples of the appalling treatment of asylum-seekers in Europe. The article outlines further abuses, such as preventing asylum-seekers from entering Europe, or sending them back over the border, and how the Coronavirus restrictions impact the situation.
