Senior Fellow Honorine Goueth is the spokesperson of Little Africa, a cultural agency based in Paris, in which she has been personally involved since its foundation five years ago. Little Africa has kicked off a crowdfunding campaign to build a cultural center and concept store in the heart of Goutte d’Or (in English: Drop of Gold), a neighbourhood in Paris’ 18th arrondissement and often depicted as a “no-go zone” by mainstream media. Goutte d’Or is home to many members of the African diaspora and in close proximity to major tourist sites in the city. However, due to the area’s stigma, tourists often have no idea of the cultural live that exists in Goutte d’Or.
