Humanity in Action Founder and Executive Director Judith Goldstein has been invited to speak on “How to Make Allies” at the upcoming 6 Degrees Conference. She will be joined by Serpil Midyatli, Chairwoman of the Social Democrats and Member of Parliament in Schleswig-Holstein (Germany); Caroline Orr, Journalist, independent researcher, and research analyst (U.S.); Ketty Nivyabandi, Poet and activist (Burundi) and host Jaafar Abdul-Karim, Journalist and talk show host (Lebanon/Germany).

“A small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Identifying the problems is only the first step, but building a coalition to make change is necessary. Whether establishing common cause, or having a constructive conversation from opposing viewpoints, we can’t underestimate the power of people talking to people. How do we find our allies, accomplices, and co-conspirators? How do we build that coalition for change?” (6 Degrees)

6 Degrees is a Toronto-based organization that exists to challenge “our unsettled age.” They host an annual, three-day conference that brings together speakers and leaders from around the world to discuss citizenship, inclusion and the issues that our societies face.
