HIA Senior Fellow Joanna Łakomiec Develops Urban Game to Uncover the Forgotten Heritage of Poznań

January 25, 2011 | action projects

As an outgrowth of her fellowship with Humanity in Action, Senior Fellow Joanna Łakomiec has developed an exciting city game called “Pojzn*, tej**! The Traces of Poznań Jewish Community” which is addressed to all lovers of the city of Poznań and the Jewish culture – from beginners to advanced, regardless of age.

The project is an invitation to discover the forgotten heritage of Joanna's home town. Participants, in groups of 2 to 6 people, will be competing in finding “points” – authentic places, connected to the history of Ha Kehillat szel Pozna. In each of them they will get a task to perform and a coded information about their next destination. They will have a rare opportunity to visit the Jewish cemetery, the synagogue and to meet the members of the Jewish community.

Over 100 registered participants will take part in the competition!

The event will take place on January 15th, 2011 in Poznań
