HIA Poland Launches Photo Contest on Gender and Gender-Based Discrimination

One World Association and Humanity in Action Poland Foundation have launched a photography contest: "Wearing gender: Images of femininity and masculinity." The competition is open to all photographers and is a part of the international project "GenderActive," which is dealing with the issues of the roles of women and men in society, as well as gender-based discrimination.

The entries of "Wearing gender: Images of femininity and masculinity" are supposed to show and bring about a reflection on various meanings and aspects of femininity and masculinity. The most interesting works will be printed and exhibited in Poznan, Poland, and will be published in a calendar which is going to be distributed among Polish and foreign NGOs. Winning entries will also be published on the web page www.jedenswiat.org.pl.

To take part in the competition, send us your photos on vols@jedenswiat.org.pl before the April 18.
