What is this new project about?
We invite Humanity in Action Fellows and Senior Fellows to become one of 15 Research Fellows to conduct study trips to European destinations of your choice. We focus on three topics or any combination thereof: Antisemitism, Racism, and the discrimination of and hatred towards the LGBTIQA+ community during Nazi oppression and its impact on today’s societies. We are interested in the politics and complexities of memory as well as how communities remember their past and the related sites.
Our Research Fellows will explore lesser known European historical places, collect stories, and conduct interviews.
- Application Period | We invite applications until January 16, 2022.
- January to February, 2022 | Admission of Research Fellows
- March to May, 2022 | Travel and regular submission of the collected stories
We invite applications until January 16, 2022.
We expect Research Fellows to share their findings with us. We are interested in following their steps along the way and in learning alongside our Fellows. The research journeys result in brief video or audio formats with local footage based on interviews or the Fellow’s own observations. Humanity in Action will make these stories and visual impressions accessible to the broader public.
All Humanity in Action Fellows and Senior Fellows of all the countries are eligible to apply and be a part of this project. The travel destination is Europe.
