The Escape Room explored youth right struggles and zoomed in on the right to take part in decisions affecting their lives. The room was built as a Youth Club which was being privatized and shut down. The participants had to solve puzzles before they could book a hearing to keep their youth club. The aim of the Escape Room was to allow participants to understand the unique barriers that youth can face when they are denied access to democratic processes and platforms.
For example, it explored the fact that youth might not be of voting age, might not have a platform to have their voices heard, and might not know their rights. The clues in the game were related to these issues and allowed for more immersive learning. After the game, the participants did a debriefing exercise that focused on the learning objectives.
