BOLD Action: Me and My Municipality

Article

This project aims to increase high school students’ awareness of and knowledge about local government by providing them with online educational resources to be used in-class, and eventually incorporating the material into high school democracy textbooks.

The project beneficiaries will include dozens of high school students in six municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Doboj – East, Donji Vakuf, Kakanj, Novo Sarajevo, Tuzla, Vellika Kladuša) that have the democracy course as a part of their curriculum. The six municipalities were selected heuristically, since the six project participants are from the aforementioned municipalities. In order to ensure the widest possible segment of the high school population benefits, the project will be implemented for all students taking the course Democracy in those seven municipalities. Furthermore, due to the multiplicative nature of the project, other students throughout the country taking the course Democracy and those that will take the course in the future will have the opportunity to benefit from the project outputs.
